The professional pilot program provides comprehensive flight training and aviation education designed to prepare students for careers as commercial pilots.
Air Fleet Training Systems offers a comprehensive professional pilot program designed for students pursuing a career in aviation. Students begin their training by completing their Private Pilot Certificate and Instrument Rating before continuing through the advanced stages of professional flight training. The program is structured to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to progress toward a career as a professional pilot.
Upon completion of the professional pilot program, students may also choose to obtain a Certified Flight Instructor Certificate and begin gaining experience as a flight instructor within the aviation industry.
Private Pilot Course
First pilot’s license
Used for recreation, personal or business travel
Can carry passengers
Can operate day or night
Instrument Rating (IFR) Course
Allows flight to be conducted in clouds and other limited visibility conditions
Substantially increases safety and precision of flight operations
Commercial Single Engine
Can conduct flight operations “for hire”
More advanced maneuvers
More accuracy and control of the aircraft
Commercial Multi Engine (add-on)
Prepares pilots for commercial operations in multi-engine environments
Operate complex, multi-engine aircraft safely and efficiently
Certified Flight Instructor
Can further obtain: Certified Flight Instructor Instrument and Multi-Engine Flight Instructor
Can instruct other students in flight operations
Airline Transport Pilot (ATPL) Course
Allows you to perform pilot-in-command duties for commercial airlines and other air transport operations

Air Fleet Training Systems is proud to partner with California Aeronautical University (CAU) as an approved CAU Reach Flight Center, giving aspiring pilots in the Northeast the opportunity to earn their Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics from a nationally recognized aviation university.
Through this partnership, Air Fleet provides the in-person flight training at our local facilities, while CAU delivers the academic coursework online. This allows students to train close to home while earning a university degree in aviation, combining hands-on experience with the strength of CAU’s accredited academic program.
Students who train with Air Fleet Training Systems under this program are fully enrolled as California Aeronautical University students, gaining access to all of CAU’s benefits—including university support services, eligibility for federal financial aid, airline partnerships, and degree pathways designed to fast-track their aviation careers.
Air Fleet Training Systems Partners with Purdue Global to Offer Aviation Degree Pathways
Air Fleet Training Systems is proud to partner with Purdue Global, creating an opportunity for aspiring pilots to earn both their professional flight certifications and a college degree in aviation through a flexible and career-focused program.
Through this partnership, students can complete their pilot training with Air Fleet while taking online academic courses through Purdue Global. The flight training completed at Air Fleet can count toward college credits, recognizing the value of achieving key certifications such as the Private Pilot Certificate, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot Certificate, Flight Instructor Certificate, and Multiengine Rating.
Students enrolled in the Purdue Global program may also qualify for a 20% tuition reduction on Purdue Global courses. Depending on your schedule, you can complete your degree in as little as 2–3 years, earning either a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation or Aviation Management.
To qualify for enrollment, students must:
Hold a Private Pilot Certificate (which can be earned through Air Fleet prior to admission)
Possess a First-Class Medical Certificate
Have a high school diploma or GED
